Three Days Grace
Three Days Grace will be bringing their power punk thump to the Allstate Arena on March 2nd. Following in the tradition of Helmet and Bad Religion, 3DG, as they're known to their fans, contain a power and fury only found in MIke Tyson's straight right. Neil Sanderson's drumming can off set your heartbeat, greatly supported by Brad Walst's bass lines. These jarringly, in a good way, compliment Adam Gontier's guitar which drives you over a cliff and his dark, brooding lyrics which could make you glad you were. Together, they are one of the leading alt-metal bands around, on the forefront with Tool and Godsmack. Tickets are going fast!
Three Days Grace came out of Ontario, Canada, from a town of 1,500, and their music reflects a disenchantment and apathy borne out of being unfulfilled by a small town. Thankfully for us, they contain none of the Nike commercial mainstream appeal of their fellow countrymen, Nickelback. Three Days Grace pack much more depth and feeling, and simply couldn't be contained by those same borders. Their two biggest hits, "Pain" and "I Hate Everything About You" carry an edge and force that few can match. Their sophomore effort, One-X, is more than just the single, though. It is full of disillusioned, rocking cuts that portray a restlessness that is finally exploding out.
3DG's live shows have been widely described as having an impact that is teeth-shattering. Yes, gross, i know, but accurate as well. The dirty bomb our government so fears very well may be a Three Days Grace live show, such is the power and destruction left in their wake. Filling a large venue such as Allstate with their ballistics will not be a problem for them, it's in fact a mystery if the roof can hold them in or not. Get tickets now!
